This blog (actually, it’s half site half blog, but whatever) was created for two reasons:
1. I needed a place to possibly get some feedback for my ideas in my master’s thesis. I say possibly because I’m not sure yet whether or not I’m going to be doing it as a commission (which would require some more secrecy) or do I even WANT to share it right now, since I’m so early in the game and I can’t really start writing it until later in the summer (I don’t want to give any “competitors” any ideas, I feel pretty strongly about my thesis atm). But the possibility of getting the blogosphere to provide feedback is still intriguing, so we’ll see.
2. The blog is supposed to work as a sort of “lab” blog for next summer’s ITP program. There are no guarantees as to whether or not we will be “allowed” (or able, for that matter) to create a community for our students, so it’s good to have a backup. Plus here I get to test out some of the features before I put them on the ITP site.
Most of the topics here will revolve around my thesis and/or topics that have to do with ITP (Flash, Web 2.0, trends and the like).
Now I just need to get my name out there.
